Rite of Passage at San Francisco City Hall

My photograph, "You know without having seen," will be included in the exhibition, Rite of Passage. This photograph is from my series, "From destruction grows a garden of the soul."

Rite of Passage, presented by Ziya Art Center, celebrates Nowruz, the Persian New Year and includes work that "reflect[s] the unique cultural, spiritual, and creative interpretations of artists who have been working directly in their natural environment or have implemented nature in their art through their creative expression."

The work will be exhibited on video projectors, screens, and monitors this Friday, March 25, at San Francisco City Hall, located at 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA 94102-4678. Additional work will be exhibited in Ziya's online gallery.

Rite of Passage was co-curated and juried by Arash Shirinbab and Minoosh Zomorodinia of Ziya Art Center, with the aid of assistant curators Faezeh Faezipour and Shaghayegh Shirinbab.
