My photograph, "Somewhere in another world," from the series Transitional landscapes, is included in Mother F-Stop's first exhibition, titled Inaugural.
The exhibition will take place at SAMple Gallery, located on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus in Hanes Art Center, at 121 E. Cameron Avenue, room 224, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
It features photographs from portfolios published on the Mother F-Stop website during its first three years. Exhibition dates are April 1 through April 12, 2019, coinciding with the university's Arts Everywhere month.

The the juror for this beautiful exhibition was the renowned photographer Alan Ross, who worked as Ansel Adams’ assistant.

The juror for the Holga and Friends 8th Annual International Competition Exhibition was gallerist, fine art and commercial photographer, and videographer Tammy Cromer.

On display will be blue inspired images from a wide array of traditional and alternative photographic processes – including pinhole photography, images made with plastic cameras (including mine - below), cyanotypes, collage, and other photo-based works by Bay Area photographers.

My photograph, “On the precipice of waking,” from the series, Notes from the edge of nowhere, is included in the LA Artcore 3rd Annual Photographic Competition and Exhibition.
The exhibition takes place at at LA Artcore's historic downtown gallery in the Los Angeles Brewery Arts Colony, one of the oldest and largest live-work spaces in the world. Covering 23 acres in 14 buildings, 500-700 artists and businesses call The Brewery Arts Colony their home.

The exhibition runs from February 3 through 28, 2019, with a reception on Sunday, February 10, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Jurors for the LA Artcore 3rd Annual Photographic Competition and Exhibition were Sarah Lee, a longtime Los Angeles gallerist, and art and photography curator, former trustee, Executive Director and guest curator at the Korean American Museum in Los Angeles, and member of the Japan-American National Museum Advisory Council since 1995; Sarah Hadley, a Los Angeles-based artist, curator and festival producer, and the Director of Marketing at the Los Angeles Center of Photography; and Aline Smithson, a photographic artist and educator (at the Los Angeles Center for Photography since 2001), who has work on exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
On January 31, I talked with Graeme and Rachel, two of the three delightful hosts of the Sunny 16 Podcast, about lo-fi photography, 127 format, and other things photographic … including twin-lens reflex cameras and the importance of gaffer’s tape. You can find Episode #136 here.
My photograph, “From nowhere into the dream,” is included in the Winter 2019 issue (no. 142) of Shots magazine. The issue includes a wide range of beautiful and evocative interpretations of the theme “Fading Light.”

The theme of the issue is Flawed Beings, a collection of photographs that consider the process of being human and of creating art as a discovery of beautiful flaws that morph into our work and lives - photographs in which imperfections of the subject, camera, or technique are highlighted as an integral part of the image.
The juror for Flawed Beings was Michael Kirchoff, photographic artist, Founding Editor at Catalyst:Interviews, and Editor in Chief at Analog Forever Magazine.

Bay Area Big Shots is the first-ever juried exhibition of the East Bay Photo Collective, a community of photographers working together to provide facilities, education, inspiration, and community to East Bay photographers .
Bay Area Big Shots runs from November 1 through December 29, 2018. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, November 1; a mid-show reception on Thursday, December 6, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., and a closing reception on Saturday, December 29, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Out of the Woods of Thought is an exhibition of Inside the Outside, a "landscape photography collective mediating the liminal space between the world before us and within." They are "a diverse group of photographers that share an awareness of that [transformative] potential [of both being in and representing the landscape] and for whom it has become an essential element of their work. It is a question they commonly explore, but in highly individual and personal representations of the land around them."
My photograph, “At the frontier of the known world,” is included in Wobneb Magazine’s inaugural online exhibition.
The exhibition, titled Sense of Place, includes diverse and beautiful photographs from North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Australia, and a thoughtful essay by photographic artist Rob Hudson. It is also available at medium.com.
